This page is dedicated to my Foscam camera setup…
Currently I have 4 FI8918W and 1 FI8905W all around the house… one watching the downstairs entrance, another in the playroom facing the garden, an external camera watching the other side of the garden, one in my sons room (1yo) and another in my daughters room (2yo).
I love these cameras.. value for money like no other! cheap colour cameras + infrared for night time with Pan and tilt (Pan:300°& Tilt:120°)… I use them to monitor my home and to keep eye on the kids when they playing / sleeping…
They have a mic and speaker so from my phone I can listen and talk! I have setup a tablet in the kitchen so when my wife or I are unable to watch the kids directly we can keep an eye on them with split screen.
I have the 5 cameras recording at maximum quality 24/7 to my Synology DS112 with Surveillance Station 5 and then the data is replicated to 2 other NAS in other sites. The license for the 4 extra cameras cost almost as much as the DS112!! JESUS!
Below are the instructions on how to add a license key (make sure you have one handy)… start by clicking on Surveillance Station
Then click on License, then click Add
Select Agree, enter the license key you have purchased, click OK!
If your license is valid you will receive a success message and it should look like below.
